Though made in 2001, the release date was pushed back several years due to an unrelated, real-life Little League scandal. Mickey was briefly released in 2003 in the Little League headquarters town of Williamsport, PA.

    More than just baseball

Wow... what a great movie! This is one of the best baseball movies I have seen in a long time. Harry Connick Jr does an amazing job as Mickey's father. Very emotional and moving story about family, life, truth and consequences, but most of all... success
