Overview

A couple whose relationship is in trouble must decide if tragedy will bring them together or tear them apart in this independent drama. Michael Hade (Andrew Ramaglia) is a fisherman living and working in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Sara (Emily Cline) and their young son Jack (P.J. Caniff). Michael has been having a hard time getting work and he's developed a serious drinking problem, while Sara, who is studying to become a nurse, is becoming increasingly frustrated with their relationship and has been spending time with one of her former boyfriends. Michael and Sara have both been paying less attention to Jack, and their relationship hits bottom after the boy dies in a drowning incident in the bathtub. As Michael confronts Sarah about cheating on him and she in turns demands he quits drinking, the pain of their loss only makes their accusations all the more hurtful, and they must decide if they have any reason to stay together. Morning was the first feature film from writer and director Joe Mitacek; the film received its world premiere at the 2010 Seattle International Film Festival.
