This contemporary fable concerns Ferro Olivetti (Victor Alfieri) a billionaire playboy who leaves his native Italy to pursue success in New York. Not long afte,r his father issues a pivotal deathbed wish: he asks Ferro , as an experiment, to give up his riches for one month. Ferro must survive, homeless, on the streets of New York - an experience that develops his character and makes him warm and giving. He also falls in love with Diana (Ione Skye), a beautiful girl from a privileged background. Her parents, however, raise objections to the boyfriend's poor economic standing.
