    A Perfect Introduction

Not being familiar with many ballets, this DVD is perfect! It is engaging for people of all ages with or without any knowledge of ballet. This collection introduces scenes from 10 different ballets such as Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and others I had never heard of such as Sylvia, Giselle, and Coppelia. The short selections are lively and engaging and the costumes and scenery are fabulous which gives you a taste of the ballet, but leaves you with a longing to see more. There is enough variety as not to overwhelm or cause one to lose interest especially if this is a first introduction to ballet. I'll leave it in the words of my 4 year old daughter, "The dancing is so pretty!"
