    Long sought-after Discovery Channel Programs

The Napoleon Collection, released by Kultur, is a collection of three programs that, at some time or other, aired on TLC, Discovery, and their sister channels. Program one, hosted by Dr. Bob Brier, tells of Napoleon in Egypt, and how his experiences there led to his future transformation into Emperor -- and, ironically, would echo his downfall in Russia. Program two, narrated by Donald Sutherland, deals with one of the French ships that sank off the coast of Egypt during the disastrous campaign with Nelson. Program three solves the mystery of Napoleon's death, and the tireless effort of a dentist to rewrite history. As I am a Dr. Brier fan, I am ecstatic that his program has finally come to DVD, and recommend this one on the strength of his episode alone.
