DMX in this movie show everyone that he can really act. The movie is powerful, it made me sick to my stomach just watching the realness of the movie and how great DMX perform. This movie is so RAW & Real. Watch this movie, its a shocker.

Don't sleep on this movie because you may not have heard about it. DMX is amazing in this movie, as is the supporting cast(Michael Ealy, Clifton Powell, David Arquette). This is a very graphic movie, but then again the things it discuss are just as graphic. This is based on a novel by Donald Goines, an underrated writer at his time. The film is violent, full of sex, and drugs. I wont explain the plot because it's described above. Anyways the acting is good for a rapper, an actor who usually does comedies(Michael Ealy was in the Barbershop films), and a bunch of unknowns. This is a great film, but it is difficult to watch(overdoses, bloody shootouts, graphic sex, lots of cuss words). I think DMX is finally starting to get the hang of acting(he was good in Belly, but slipped in all his other films). He's the breakout actor in this, along with Michael Ealy. Watch it!

A ruthless drug dealer who rose from the cocaine addled 80's to the violence of the crack culture and the corruption of the New York and Los Angeles. Convinced me that DMX is a capable actor. A lot of drugs, sex and definitely, violence.
