Overview

Goodtimes provides a good-looking image with New Jersey Drive, though there are moments where the source material looks a bit damaged. Details are sharp and never bleed together. To Goodtimes' credit, they have included the 1.85:1 widescreen of the film. They rarely use an anamorphic transfer, which might have made the picture even better. The sound, as with many of their releases, is a Dolby Digital Surround, which centers the dialogue squarely up front. There is little sound in the back speakers, but this is ...

The sound, as with many of their releases, is a Dolby Digital Surround, which centers the dialogue squarely up front. There is little sound in the back speakers, but this is not a film that would rely on excessive surround sound. A real disappointment with many Goodtimes' titles is the lack of many extra features. This title, for example, has none. Even a trailer, something that should be considered the minimum for a disc, would be welcome. As is the case with all discs from this company, the price is low enough that it's difficult to expect too much. This is a good film from a talented filmmaker and a decent, though hardly spectacular disc. If it's the movie that matters to viewers more than the disc content, they really can't go wrong with this title.

    new jersey drive

New Jersey Drive is one of my top 20 movies. It is realistic, gritty, exciting(great car chase) and funny(pulling over preppies in stolen cop car) It also has an amazing hip hop soundtrack (i have both volumes) featuring some old school outkast(before they went pop)and many more. this movie is like the east coast version of menace II society
