Overview

A murderous figure in a demonic mask stalks a woman from her dreams before materializing in the real world to do some bloody damage in director Rolfe Kanefsky's nocturnal tale of night terror. Unsuccessful despite multiple attempts to conceive, Ellen (Blythe Metz) and her husband, Bill (Luciano Szafir), order a mask said to represent the God of Fertility. Unfortunately, their hope for a child is soon snuffed out when a demonic figure sporting the very same mask begins to pursue Ellen in her dreams. Increasingly disturbed by his wife's hysterical paranoia, Bill secures a room for his troubled wife at a nearby mental health facility. When Ellen and Bill's car breaks down in the woods en route to the hospital and the menacing figure from Ellen's nightmares emerges from the darkened trees, a retreat to a nearby cabin where Mia (Tiffany Shepis) is hosting a party with a collection of close friends sets the stage for a blood-soaked murder rampage that may or may not be the doing of a supernaturally charged killer.

This was by far the worst movie in my eyes of this years Afterdark Horrorfest. It starts off like they are going to go more suspense style and out of no where it turns into the bad campy crap. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a horror comedy as much as the next guy and can get into a low budget horror flick, but this movie sucked in my book. I made it through the full movie, somehow, but some did leave during this one. If your still curious I would suggest a rent rather then a buy. Better yet make a friend pay to rent it so you don't waste your money. I'm sure some people probably liked it, but i wasn't impressed. They should have picked a direction and stuck with it. It is worth one star for a few laughs I got out of it.

I saw this as a rental; I was so impressed with storyline and basically everything in general that I have decided to purchase it in my collection. Sometimes, I wonder who writes these reviews and if they actually saw the movie they are thrashing. As for myself, I love horror, gore, and movies dealing with gory supernatural so I look forward to Afterdark Horrorfest except AH4, now that was bland.
