    Best Horror Franchise

I literaly grew up watching this stuff. I saw #3 when I was 6 and was hooked. Point blank, if you're looking at this box then you probably have seen most of them already. #2 stinks and #5 isn't so great either. Funny thing to see is on the bonus features disk, watching the director of #2 try to justify why his movie was so terrible. Best of all, it doesn't have the Freddy vs. Jason mvovie. That flick was a steamer and I don't mean train engine.

    Nightmare Collection

I have just recieved this beautiful boxed set yesterday. I have seen all of the Nightmare on Elm Street films and they are the most imaginative horror series of all time. The first Nightmare on Elm Street is the ultimate horror movie out there, the writer and director of this film has truly created the most horrifying character known as Freddy Krueger. The second film Freddy's Revenge is okay, we learn a little bit more about Freddy and his dark ways and what he can do in order to get into the real world. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors is another great film, not because we see the return of the star of the first film but we actually see a group of people struggling out of their own personal holes that they have dug themselves into, suddenly climb out and try to fight their against their fears. The fourth installment The Dream Master, introduces us to Alice who has the special ability to control other people's dreams and to absorb each of her friends' qaulities and use them in order to confront Freddy. The fifth installment The Dream Child, welcomes back Alice from The Dream Master, in this installment, she is pregnant and Freddy is back for his usual tricks in tormenting new teenagers in Springwood, this time he is trying to get into the dreams of Alice's unborn child Jacob, Alice must confront Freddy once again in his dream world and try to put an end to his reign of terror. The seemingly final installment Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare promises us that Freddy Krueger is dead for good. Freddy manipulates a young man in leading him to his estranged daughter while entering the dreams of other unstable foster children and delivering some more of his dark humor, it all leads down to an ultimate showdown between father and daughter. This is one of the films in the series that could have been better. It is nice to see some 3D elements in the film. The last film in the series is Wes Craven's New Nightmare where the star of the first and third movie returns as herself, a struggling actress who is having problems with her own son, she starts to have nightmares about the fictional character of Freddy Krueger but this time he is much more darker than the original Freddy, it seems that this character is real and is out to bring pain and torture to everyone who is involved in the new Nightmare movie that Wes Craven himself who makes an appearance in the film. The film is new and unique. It delivers all the thrills and chills that most Nightmare on Elm Street films incorporate. Overall this boxed set is for anyone who is into the whole horror generation. The eighth disc is also filled with some really cool extra features.

    TOO TIGHT TO BE RIGHT

Nightmare on Elm Street to me was the first real scary movie of our time. Although, I really think the others were not as good as the first(except for New Nightmare) the other six are very good. Freddy was the best idea anyone could come up with.
