Brad Kimmel's Novem is a wonderful idea for a doc. Sadly the BN description gives it away that is a mockumentary. When I saw it, it was hard to realize it. Even knowing that, the "fake facts" still present an entertaining story. In addition, the music is incredible and worth as much as the film itself. The film recalls such films as Woodstock and Almost Famous. The characters do a great job of presenting "kids" in the early 70's. You also get great glimses into the studio, and the "whys" of each song. Any songwriter will see the wisdom in this. Novem will not appeal to everyone since it is "fake." I found it a great trip worth taking again & again.
