When I was younger,my older cousin and I used to watch this movie.Since then,I've basically been in love with this movie. It has such a good, but loving story to it.It revolves around a great friendship between four girls in the 1970's.I truly recommend this to anyone who likes Chick Flicks.Laughs!

OK, I don't care if you liken the movie to ''Stand by Me'': this is just an AWESOME movie!! It's 1970. ''Knock 3 Times'' and ''Signed, Sealed Delivered'' are singalongs, ''Red Rover'' is the backyard hit, and Roberta, Teeny, Samantha and Chrissy are out to have the best summer of their life. Roberta's a tomboy who doesn't take anything from anyone, has a mean pitching arm, hates her changing body, and hates boys. Teeny wants to break into the movies and won't stop till she gets there. Samantha's a thoughtful, caring person who's dealing with some parental issues. And Chrissy - Chrissy's learning ''the facts of life'' all wrong, yet she's perky and happy about almost everything. So it's no wonder these four are best friends. This summer, they're up to finding out about Dear Johnny, the boy who died in their Indiana town thirty years before - at the same age of the girls. They're wondering why he died, and want to know just this summer. They've also made a pact that whenever they're in need - they'll call on each other when they're all grown up. Wonder if it'll come true? Keep reading. Flash forward to Today. Chrissy's nine months pregnant, Samantha's an author, Teeny's in Hollywood, and Roberta's a doctor who plays softball for her little town. And now that Chrissy's going to have a baby, it's time to get that pact going and for everyone to join up again and remember that summer - the summer of 1970.

I haven't seen now and then in years because I lost the tape, but I remember that all of my old friends, my sister, and I would all watch it over and over again, sing the songs, dress like the girls, and pretend to be the girls. This movie was a classic and does a great job going into the past although it was made in the 90's. I have to see the movie again, uncut, and in good condition. It was like a memory from my younger years, and is a part of me. Im only 13, but i love this movie and could watch it over and over again forever!! - Lauren Horbal

One of the best movies about childhood you will find. A story that shows even though lives changes your friends are still just that, your friends.

This movie is one of my favorites. It really kinda relates to my friends and life, considering my family is like the only family in my neighborhood that parents got a divorce, so I really relate with this movie. Its a sure hit,and will be for ever one of my favorite . . .

This is my favorite movie. It makes me cry every time I watch it. It is easy for most girls to relate to everything in this movie, and that is what makes it so good. 'There are some things that happen in life that you just can't change but that¿s no reason to shut out the world.'

I love this movie it is one of my all time favorites! And the people they picked for the parts were fantastic. If they tried to do a remake it could never be as good as this one!
