Numb3rs came in 32nd in the Nielsen ratings for the 2005-6 season, a pretty remarkable feat for a show about a scary-intelligent mathematician and his FBI agent brother -- especially since it airs Friday nights. But fans are dedicated to the way Charlie Eppes David Krumholtz, uses deductive reasoning and equations to aid brother Don Rob Morrow in his search for murderers and rapists. Season 2 of this unique police procedural finds Charlie becoming more comfortable working his theories around Don's by-the-book fellow agents. Don's partner, Terry Lake Sabrina Lloyd, has been reassigned to Washington, D.C., at the beginning of the season and is replaced by psychological profiler Megan Reeves Diane Farr, who eventually strikes up a friendship with Charlie's mentor, physicist Dr. Larry Fleinhardt Peter MacNicol. Also new this season is rookie agent Colby Granger Dylan Bruno, who is paired with Agent David Sinclair Alimi Ballard. Continuing to help Charlie with his mathematical problems -- and, perhaps, his awkwardness around women -- is Amita Ramanujan Navi Rawat, a former grad student turned trusted colleague. Notable episodes this season include "Calculated Risk," during which Charlie must narrow down a list of hundreds of potential suspects after the murder of a company's CEO. "Toxin" finds Don and Charlie on the trail of someone tampering with prescription pills. An ATF agent is found dead in "Guns and Roses," and Don decides to take the case, which also happens to involve an elaborate bank robbery attempt. And finally, in "Backscatter," a computer hacker obtains the identities of bank customers, making it personal for the Eppes family. Like the Season 1 release, Season 2 of Numb3rs features a treasure trove of bonuses, including cast and crew commentaries on select episodes, behind-the-scenes featurettes, a blooper reel, and more.

    Excellent TV

The writing, acting, editing and general overall quality of this show is superior. Even for those of us who can't get the image of '10 Things I hate about you' out of our mind. This show is one of a few that raises the bar for entertainment. Maybe even the bar for basic knowledge!

    Numb3rs Fans Everywhere

If you are a Numb3rs fan this is what you need. Even better then the Season 1 DVD with the addition of the blooper reeel which is a must see. So overall, get this if you can because if you don't then your really not a Numb3rs fan.
