Of all the I Am Legend movie remakes, this is probably the best one even though the ending sucked. The Will Smith's movie was terrible...it insulted Richard Matheson's classic work. But back to Omega Man, I liked the way L.A. looked deserted and run down. I even liked Charleton Heston. If they hadn't written in the hippie vamp cult headed by Anthony Zerbe, the movie would've been okay.

Five out of five stars far better than I am legend. More action and better acting a clasic. I hope some day they make a part two to the omega man to hard to remake this movie.

This movie is enjoyable simply because it has a high cheese factor due to the fact the film has dated horribly. Some of the shots, such as the one depicting deserted LA city blocks, are still impressive. Goofs such as a moving car being visible in the distant background of said deserted blocks only add to the fun. A campy nostalgaic ride.

One of the less than biblical roles performed by Charlton Heston, The Omega Man depicts an at the time after vision of the effects of biological warefare on America. With the current SARS alert in the US and abroad, this old film is even scarier. Worth watching, especially if you are an old Creature Feature fan.
