    Fine except for the Frenchman

Fun but flawed movie, with Barbra doing a superb acting job in the cute and kooky story. It was admirable of French star Yves Montand to attempt to speak a new language in this, but his English is very difficult to understand...'Dezzy Gimbole zumwer een you eez ze key to all zeeeez!' which translates as 'Daisy Gamble, somewhere in you is the key to all this'. Musically, it is a pleasure to listen to, though some numbers and scenes were left on the cutting room floor. Louis Jourdan would have been perfect for the role of the doctor...sad that he couldn't have done this film.
