Over There needs to be seen EVERY WHERE

This show is quite accurate and of course slightly hollywood, with that said I being a US Army Vet myself and a spouse of a soldier who has just got back from Korea this last year, now told may be deployed in spring or summer 06, I have to say that this show gives light to what happens frequently to the spouses at home left to deal with things alone and the different yet common things that happen in their lives as well. Many times during the season tears came to my eyes watching the show...imagining what sort of things my husband may face with when he is deployed is one reason. However, another soldier in my husbands unit saw this show though and said he hates it and is so far gone hollywood that he thinks it disrespects the army. I obviously dont agree with it, seeing how i made sure that I saw each episod in the season. Will there be more seasons??? I hope so.

    been over there

SO far the pilot is pretty accurate. Most equipment is correct with some noted exception (M75 track instead of M2 Bradley and huey instead of Blackhawk. If you been there it will seem hokey but will jar some memories. You will know some of these characters while some are pure hollywood fiction. I cant wait to see the season (I'm still overseas and get mine from AFN). If it is anything like the pilot, I will like it.
