Best of Eastern Anime, realistic Western ideology

This is the best Anime I have seen, and is more well-rounded than any other series I have seen. Artistically is creative yet realistic, and the Patlabor movies are benchmarks. The blend of humor, romance, action, and relationships mean there is something for everyone in this series. And it feels so Western, that it instantly connects, as compared to some of the Eastern Anime, that is either perv, or feels like you are on an LSD trip when you watch it. (or plotlines so complex, it makes doing taxes enjoyable). The characters are multi-faceted and the viewer bonds with them right away. I can't recommend this enough, but make sure you enjoy the movies too.
