Children Running Through, Griffin’s most recent CD, was released one week after this concert. Griffin’s songs have been covered by such artists as the Dixie Chicks, Emmylou Harris, and Bette Midler, but no one owns a Griffin tune like the composer herself. This compelling performance offers further proof that while her cult following is thoroughly deserved, wider recognition is surely right around the corner.
