Paul is GREAT in this show!!! It is absolutly AMAZING!! The only two problems I have with the DVD are during some songs they cut it off with an interview...second, they don't edit out (or even lower) the audiences cheering...so you can barely hear Paul!!! Overall the DVD is pretty good!

Of all the DVD's to choose from regarding Beatle songs and information, this one about Paul's 1st time music tour to Russia is a Home Run!! It includes FULL concert footage from the historic St. Peter's Square as well as another bonus 1/2 concert. Well over 30 songs performed live! And the commentary from Paul himself of his visit was very cool. The only let down was one of the special features about the History of the Beatles and the USSR - It's seems to be a given fact that the Beatles really impacted their way of life (much like everywhere else in the world at that time) but I found the correlation to the 'Fall of Communism' being attributed to the band a bit of a stretch.

The songs were amazing. McCartney was awed by his fans and their response to his music and him. This DVD is worth every penny. Many of the reviews indicated that the quality of the recording could have been better, but I felt the gritty quality added to the feeling of being in Russia. This is McCartney at his best. It's innovative and that's what Paul McCartney is all about. I just read a story he wrote for a wonderful book entitled "Kids Who Think Outside the Box", in which Paul McCartney shared that it is important to be true to yourself in order to be who you are. He was featured in this book along with "living legends" in the world. McCartney is a living legend and once again he shows us that in this DVD. It was awesome!
