Will not play on my Samsung

I had to play this one on my computer because my Samsung Blu-Ray player would not play the soundtrack. This disc has very good video and audio tracks. I especially liked Allison Kraus and Dianne Reeves. The 59th Street Bridge Song performed by the Muppets was delightful.

    Excellent music/concert video

Excellent performances by Paul Simon and a wide range of other artists performing his songs. Fabulous back-up band. Contrary to another review, no problems were experienced with the Blu-ray disc. Sound and video quality are very good. This performance provides a great overview of Simon's 40+ year career. Even if you are a long-time fan/listener who is very familiar with Simon, experiencing the full range of styles he has embraced within his body of work in a single concert is an elightening experience. Although I have enjoyed Simon's own performances of his work for many years, I believe his compositional talent is showcased to an even greater extent when you hear the songs performed by other artists who are among the best within their specific genres. For example, when Stephen Marley performs "Mother and Child Reunion", it comes across as Marley performing a bona fide reggae classic...much more than just a tribute performance of a "reggae-influenced" Paul Simon song. The performances by other artists reveal just how deeply and legitimately Simon's compositions embraced each of the wide-ranging styles. Separating Simon the performer from Simon the songwriter in this way truly validates his selection as the first recipient of the Gershwin Prize.

    Unplayable

This DVD would not play on our new Samsung DVD player. We could see the opening, but when we selected a scene and pressed "play", the sound stopped. We could see the DVD, but could not hear anything.
I really wanted to rate it "zero" stars, but I don't know if that is an option.
I think this whole batch of DVDs may be defective. We had bought one at Sam's that would not work and returned it to the store. A salesman opened a new DVD in the store and tried to play it there---that one would not play on their store player, so he was taking all of his off the shelf. He refunded our money.
My son went to B&N to buy one for my husband's birthday. Alas, it was defective as well.
