The two-season English program Poldark originally aired on the BBC between October 1975 and December 1977. Adapted from the bestselling novels by Winston Graham - all works of historical fiction - the saga has commonly earned a reputation as Britain's answer to Gone With the Wind. Episodes follow the experiences of Captain Ross Poldark as he returns home from fighting in the Revolutionary War, only to find his once palatial estate in tatters, his interitance gone, and his great love, Elizabeth, betrothed to another man. This box set contains all of Seasons One and Two of Poldark.
