I got this DVD mostly because I was wanting to see Psycho 2 again. I remember watching this movie when it was first out, and it was a good thriller back then. My mom and I watched it, and the story isn't bad--has some good twists and turns, and Anthony Perkins is creepy as ever. Liked this movie then and now. As for Psycho 3, it was corny and I would not recommend it. Psycho 4 has an interesting storyline--in that, I would like to know what makes Norman Bates tick, but there are some problems, I think, particularly with Norman's age and appearance. There's a few other problems, but I don't need to get into that. All in all, if you like Psycho the original, I'd say you just might want to check these movies out--I think this DVD was fairly reasonably priced, and I don't mind having it in my movie collection.

The great director Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" is, & will always be, my all-time favorite film! Out of the 900+ DVDs that I own (counting BoxSets & multiple disc sets as one), if I could only take one as my house was burning down (God forbid!!!), "Psycho" would be the one--w/out question or hesitation. I've loved it since my Mom had me watch it @ age 12! I have ALWAYS wished that the sequels put out on the DVD format, as my VHS copies were wearing VERY thin! Upon seeing that parts 2, 3 AND 4:The Beginning were being released on a 2 disc, all-in-one set, I was thrilled! "Psycho II" is on disc 1 & "Psycho(s)III & IV are on the 2nd disc. All are in anamorphic widescreen & all are in Dolby Digital (II is 4.0 & III/IV are in 2.0). Originally, I was going to purchase them seperately until I realiZed that part 4:The Beginning is ONLY availible in this 3-film set (parts 2/3 are availible as seperate discs). I cannot understand why, but it must be accepted regardless. I looked on the bright side; I can certailny use the spared DVD shelf space! "Psycho IV: The Beginning" is my favorite of the 3 sequels, so I was just greatful that is was on the DVD format--period! It is the only "Psycho" picture to not have been in theaters (made for ShowTime). Perkins released it just a mere 3 months b/f his untimely death from A.I.D.S. For "Psycho" film buffs, this is a MUST-BUY!!! It will complete your original "Psycho" collection & if you're a tried & true fan of the saga, Gus VanSant's horrible re-imaging of the original classic will be the completing piece (for THIS "Psycho" collector, that too, was a must have, I'm sorry to say). The 3-in-one sequel pack is a great buy @ an unbeatable price!!! Thank you.
