I have always enjoyed this movie! In my opinion, it is probably Tarrentino's single greatest movie of all time! Now that it is out on Blu-Ray, I am planning to upgrade to a collector's edition Blu-Ray once they put one out. (How could they not make a collector's edition of this?) A totally worth while movie. If you like good dramas with bits of comedy etched in and great dialogue, most of Tarrantino's movies are good for that, though this is probably his single greatest work. If you haven't ever seen a single Tarrentino movie, I recommend starting here.

Personally, I really enjoyed Pulp Fiction. The actors who participated in this film were well suited for their roles, the soundtrack (especially for the opening credits) was great, and the list could go on. However, some people may not like the idea of a circular narrative, which deviates from the "traditional" plot structure of a screenplay.

its one of a kind.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. This film made Quentin Tarantino an international phenomenom. 1994's Pulp Fiction has it all: clever and down to earth dialogue; a plot scheme that makes the audience think how it fits together; and daring performances from some of the best actors of our time. Starring John Travolta (re-establishing his career) and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson as hitmen, the very first scene at the hotel may just be the best scene in cinema history. Also, Bruce Willis plays an aging boxer that proves he still has some tricks up his sleeve and an unforgettable finale that puts in all into perspective. This is a gangster film, but with a flavor of gritty humor, catchy quotes like, "Say what again!!", and jam-packed with hardcore action. Truly a collector's item that absolutely never gets old.

If anyone can write a screenplay it is Quentin Tarantino. The man is extremely talented. He knows how to bring out the best from his actors so they can portray his characters just right. This is probably one of the best films of the 90's, having one him the oscar for best original screenplay. Some scenes in the movie were probably to much for the academy to grant it the best picture award. You haven't experienced 90's movies until you have seen pulp fiction.

The most influential and best written movie of the 90's without a day that made Tarantino the darling of Independent cinema and its violent entourage, which continues into mainstream Hollywood and may I say even more because of 9/11 in our very pessimistic world. It really gave the 70's type of Indie film a revitilization that only a movie geek like Tarantino could do. Such strong performances all around and subtle themes abound such as Samuel L. Jackson's "righteousness."

This is one of those films you have to shut up and sit through. It's not your "Code Name: The Cleaner." The film is brilliant, and for anyone to diss it is a great insult to Quentin Tarantino. The plot twists and the acting is top knotch! He has produced some of the best films i've ever seen. Sure they might be "extreme," but they're dark, Funny and Dangerous. I've never missed one of his films, and enjoy every second of them. Although this isn't my favorite Tarantino feature, i can't say i didn't like it. Classic Tarantino.

I absolutely cannot believe that Pulp Fiction is on the AFI top 100 list. The language is vulgar, and for that matter alone it should not be on there. Add in the fact that it's about gangsters killing people, and you have an inappropriate movie. Some of my friends recommended this movie to watch, so I took their word for it. This movie is geared more toward the male aspect in that it's about drugs and violence. Parents of young children should be warned. I will admit though, that this movie has an interesting plot, and is put together differently. It starts out with robbers holding up a cafe, then flashes back to a boxer that just killed a man, and on and on, until finally it comes full circle back to the robbers. This movie did keep me interested, although I strongly disagree with its language content and graphics.

Pulp Fiction is considered to be number ninety-five out of one hundred of America’s top movies. Personally, I think it should be number one, hands down. I would give this movie four out of four stars. With an all-star cast and outstanding storyline, this movie is easy to love. It is rather violent, and portrays a lot of drug use, but it is still amazing. Redemption is the main goal between all of the characters. The cast includes John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, and Bruce Willis. Alone, these are great actors, but when they are combined to make a movie together, everything comes to life. They all portray their characters in such a fashion that it is hard to distinguish between reality and the movie. This movie is one that shouldn’t be watched by young children, but I think everyone should watch it at one point in their lives or another. It’s fascinating and very interesting, and, although violent, it is fun to watch. I would recommend this movie to nearly anyone.

pulp fiction is the greatest dialogue driven film ever, and one of my all time favourites(and i've seen alot).if you don't mind tons of f-words,crude humour, sexual refrences, language, and drug use...then you must have a really healthy stomach.but even with that, you have to enjoy tarantino's refrences to pop culture, and if you don't, sorry for misleading you into watching it

Quentin Tarantino is a genious and sure shows his genious in this incredible second film. It won the 1994 Palme D'or at the Cannes Film Festival (that means best picture) and it earned 7 academy award nominations (best supporting actress- Uma Therman, best supporting actor- Samuel L. Jackson, best actor- John Travolta, best screenplay- Quentin Tarantino, best director- Quentin Tarantino, best editing, and best picture). It earned only one of the awards (screenplay) and it lost the best picture award (as well as several other awards) to the more lighthearted and comforting Forrest Gump. Pulp Fiction is a complex story about two hitmen (Travolta and Jackson), a mysterious glowing suitcase, the hitmes's boss (Ving Rhames), their boss's sexy wife (Therman), drug overdoses, violence, a desperate boxer (Bruce Willis), a gold watch, a bloody car incident, a man called the Wolf (Harvey Keitel) a resturaunt robery, hillbilly rapists, "divine intervention", and a leather covered figure only known as "the Gimp". But if you pay close attention it all makes sense in the end. Tarantino takes story telling to the next level in this wonderful dark comedy crime flick. This film almost got the NC-17 rating for its violence, though if you watch close enough, it is not as violent as it seems. There is no violence toward women or children, and the brutality is always an outcome of a situation. There are drugs but it shows that drugs have consequences. The underlining message of the film is redemption. Everyone in the movie whose life is spared will go on to do something better with their life. There is no nudity. The only sex is the brief scene where the store owner and his friend rape the hitmen's boss, but both the rapists are punished. This film shows that miracles really do exist and that in the end good triumphs over evil.

This is one of the coolest movies that I have ever seen in my entire life. The plots in the movie were all outstanding and it was really cool how in the movie that they got all the storys to connect together. THe actors in the movie were amazing. I was lauging alot during this movie too. This movie reminded me alot of the Grand Theft Auto video games. THis is one of my favorite movies of all time. It may not be better than the Godfather, but it is a classic.

This movie ruled with great directing, great acting, great dialog, great plot. There is nothing wrong with this movie well not the part where Ving Rhames gets raped by Peter Greene now that wasnt right but what bruce willis did do to them they deserved. That was great how Travolta shot that one Marvin in the face and Travolta and Jackson had to go to Tarantinos house and the clothes they had to dress up in. The music was great in it. My Faveriot character has to be the Wolf Harvey Keitel did such a great job doing that part he should of won an oscar. Tarantino is the Best!!!!!

Not only is this film so original, hip, violent and funny, but it shows a great filmmaker and filming method for the 90s and beyond. The filming of the three stories in strange, not pieced together way makes the viewer actually think about what they have seen and how it is all connected together. The music is what is most memorable, as in every single Tarantino film, from beginning to end. A great, fun bloody memorable film for the ages!
