I look forward to buying the complete series. Not having had Showtime in the past, I came across "Queer as Folk" over the last year on LOGO and it's been nothing short of superb. I fall into the second highest demographic for the show heterosexual female. The nudity and sex aside, the stories written around the characters in this show are outstanding. Most especially, there hasn't been a greater love story than Brian and Justin's. The actors bring their all to tell this and every story. Many kudos to the producers, writers and, most especially, the actors for making this the absolute best show overall I have ever watched. As Michael said to Brian when he told him of Ben's proposal, "we are every bit as human as straight people", and this show is every bit as outstanding as any great, straight show ever put on the air arguably even more. Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Sharon Gless, Hal Sparks, Peter Paige, Scott Lowell, Robert Gant, Michelle Clunie, Thea Gill, and all the others that came through the show deserve every ounce of praise put upon them. They all brought their characters to life in ways that touched our hearts and made us think. Thanks, Queer as Folk!! You are missed. Jan.

Believe it or not, I first came across this series when I started reading the fanfictions. I just had to watch the series after that and by the time I got a preview of the series, I ended up purchasing the entire 5 seasons. I have them at home right now, on my DVD shelf, and every now and then, they still come out to play. lol. It's worth every penny I spent on them... The romance between the characters are so captivating (though I shamelessly admit that Justin & Brian's connection is my all-time fav) and I couldn't help but be pulled in. The acting skills are brilliant and the themes are wonderful. The issues brought up are realistic (mostly) and certain scenes are just heart-wrenching. It's one of the few sets I'll watch over and over again and not tire of. Try it out. There's nothing to lose, but everything to love.

This outstanding series can be viewed time and again without getting old, and the writing and acting are above some prime time shows airing now. Well worth buying!

I wish I had Showtime when Queer As Folk was on. Watching this show gives the viewers a whole, darker side to gay life. This show gives me a whole new respect for gays, lesians, and transexuals.
