A GREAT movie for any Fantasy or RPG fan

This movie is one of the best Fantasy types you'll see. It's the classic Good vs Evil in a race to save the world. The movie has plenty of fighting, magic, and dragons. It's a tale of 6 adventurers of different races, on different roads that come together to share the same destiny. If you love stories with humans, elves, dark elves, dwarves, kobolds, goblins, and ogres....you'll love this movie. A must see!

Is the reviewer here an elfophile?

The Record of the Lodoss War is an excellent anime, especially those who find their passions lying in the fantasy genre. The real reason I'm writing is that the review giving by B&N leads readers to believe that its merely about one elf versus a good elf. That is insanely out of proportion with the truth. Both are in the OAV, but the dark elf plays a minor role for most of the series until at least the end. Deedlit is a main character, but she shares the screen equally with five others, most especially Parn, an aspiring young knight. All the characters have their own lives and aren't just pretty scenery for an elf to tramp around crossing swords with a darker cousin. Record of the Lodoss War is a story told on an epic scale, of one evil sorceress' desire to keep a land she loves safe, through destruction, and the bold and brave six individuals who will seek to stop her.
