    Series is great...packaging stunk...

This series is awesome and realistic for TV. If you appreciate blue collar humor and understand the complexities of dealing with people from all walks of life, you will love this show. Anyone who is in a large city and works as a policeman or fireman will enjoy the realness. Anyone who has a family that puts "fun" in the word "dysfunctional" will appreciate this series. I highly recommend it.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the jacket or case the DVD's arrived in. The case was cracking in multiple places and will need to be replaced.

Leary & crew in a tour de force

Rare are the tv shows that can make you laugh with a tear in your eye, Leary and Tolan have delivered one such show. The show follows Leary (as fire fighter Tommy Gavin) who works with Ladder 62 NYPD and the increasingly tangled personal/professional lives of his co-workers and family. The humor at times is exceedingly black and the show doesn't shy away from uncomfortable situations. If your looking for a show that will make you think, feel, and laugh this is the show for you.

    Most accurate...

if you think fire fighters are saints, this show is as close to the truth as you're going to get!! After a couple decades in a firehouse, I've seen a lot of this in real life! I love this show!

    One of TV's best today

This show exceeded my expectations. I found the humor a relief in the midst of it all. Dennis Leary did a great job and I hope he keeps it up and this show stays around for many more seasons.

Rescue Me truly is a great show...

The initial soundtrack to the opening credits is great. The views that some of the camera angles gives throughout the show is incredible. The acting by Dennis Leary is great! I also enjoyed watching a great supporting cast as well. This is a show that is not to be missed.

    Gotta Watch This Show...

Dennis Leary IS the king of tv dramedy... He stands out anywhere because of his wit and his truly great character performances. Luckily there is DVD. We can appreciate "The Job". Another great show that he was a part of. This show gives us a view of New York firefighters, post 9/11. Don't miss one of the best shows on television today.
