For those of you who don't know the Granada TV Sherlock Holmes s

For those of you who don't know the Granada TV Sherlock Holmes series, which ran from the mid 1980s through the early '90s, was perfect -- this is the gold standard, as far as productions of Sherlock Holmes stories goes. Very faithful to the Conan Doyle stories, with Jeremy Brett, the very best Holmes of them all, as The Great Detective. Throw in Edward Hardwicke as the best Watson and it's a surefire winner. Seriously, the only people who may be disappointed with this series are the fanboy, ADHD admirers of the Robert Downey, Jr./Guy Ritchie Holmes movies -- the people who need constant action, explosions, etc,. to be engaged.
