    Feel burned

    End of Disc 2 says "to be continued" and that ends it????? Bought entire collection and of all, this was so disappointing as no end, a beginning of the alliance

    Extremely Well Done Sequel

    No western could ever measure up to the original Lonesome Dove but I found this sequel extremely well done. The story line, scenery, music, and acting was wonderful and very entertaining. Hopefully producer Suzanne De Passe would consider another sequel, she really knows how to put it all together.

    Great sequel to Lonesome Dove

    This is a great sequel to Lonesome Dove. I don't know why they didn't make it a movie instead of just a TV miniseries. It is awesome and picks up right where Lonesome Dove ends. The cast is wonderful and the scenery is fantastic. Don't miss this one if you loved Lonesome Dove!

    good but not great

    No sequal, even written by the Larry McMurtry can live up to the original Lonesome Dove miniseries, the greatest western of all time. The plot was a rehash of the original with a needless sub-plot involving a range war, based on the real life Johnson County war in Wyoming in the late 1800's. the cast did a fine job, especially the underrated talents like the late Oliver Reed and Dennis Haysbert. The miniseries was more of a tie-in to the television series of the same name. As a fan of the book and the miniseries i was disappointed at the lack of attention the script writers paid to the towering figure of the original, Capt. Woodrow F. Call. I believe his character really was butchered in this telefilm. Jon Voight, one of our great actors, does his best. Good cinematography, fine acting, decent action and good period detail makes for the lack of plot and originality.
