Fresh out of college and ready to take the world of soccer by storm, Jay DeMerit failed to make the professional leagues in the U.S., and quickly set his sights on Europe. There, soccer is just as big as the NFL or college football in America, and the fans are known to be fiercely passionate. At the time he went to Europe to pursue his dream DeMerit was just 21, and lived a sparse existence while training constantly. In this documentary, we watch as DeMerit starts out scoring goals in Sunday park leagues, and steadily advances through the ranks.
