Felsenstein and Georg Mielke authored the script and share directing duties, Helga Scherff designed the costumes, and Paul Lehmann did the sets. The cast features Hanns Nocker as Sire de Barbe-Bleue, Anny Schlemm as Boulotte and Werner Enders as King Bobèche. The Orchestra and Chorus of the Komische Oper Berlin provide musical accompaniment.
