I used to love watching this show when I was a kid on the Disney Channel! It took me back to a time when things were simpler. These are great stories about family, life and love on Prince Edward Island. I'm so happy it is now availabe on DVD so I can recapture those moments as a kid. Sitting in front of the television and watching stories of Sarah Stanley and the King family. Definitely a series to cherish with the whole family!

This is the first season of the Sullivan Films series about families that live in Avonlea on Prince Edward Island. They were filmed in Canada and aired on the Disney Channel in the US several years ago. The shows are based on stories written by L.M. Montgomery other than the Anne books. The writers stay pretty true to the stories, but the entire series is delightful and great to watch again and again.
