    Cooler than fonzie

If films were automobiles, this would be an early 70's mustang: simple yet powerful design, every component precision engineered, aesthetically flawless... a sterling example of everything a classic should be. David Arquette does an outstanding job under the direction of Robert Rodriguez. More emotion is conveyed through his perfectly timed silent pauses and long drags from his ciragette than could ever be imparted through even the most well acted dialog. The small cast of characters (very few extras), consistent scenery, and majority of close up shots keep us focused on exactly what it is that the director is trying to show us, and the soundtrack (mostly Link Wray) couldn't be more fitting.
