    Simple but pleasing

While it won't win any awards Rock-A-Doodle still has it's moments. A small boy whose family is being threatened by a flood is pulled into the world of a book he loves by an evil owl. He is turned into a cat and more of the characters from the book show up looking for Chanteclare, the rooster from the book. They have to get to the city find him. A little bit of adventure, some camp, gal falls for guy and the bad guys lose. The nephew of the evil owl is the best thing in the entire movie. It's worth watching just to check him out. I think it would appeal more to smaller children. Not one of Bluth's best but not a real stinker either.
