Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble
Among the all-time great screen partnerships, Rock Hudson and Doris Day made innuendo and coy humor into an art form. Their sparkling collaboration is at its best in Send Me No Flowers, Pillow Talk, and Lover Come Back -- all included here.

A must have for any Doris Day fan

This set is a favorite of mine. Included in the set is an eight track CD of some of Doris Day's finest (and my favorite) songs. Perhaps my favorite is the not so well known "Lover come back." I would highly reccomend for anybody wanting to start a collection of Doris Day movies, what a better way to buy three classic movies at once!

    A Great Collection!

I love watching Doris Day movies and I especially like the movies she made with Rock Hudson so I purchased this DVD set that has all three of their movies which range from late 50's to early to mid 60's. My favorite is Pillow Talk and my second favorite is Lover Come Back , they are both charming and funny. My least favorite is Send me No Flowers but it is still good but just not as funny or as magical as Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back. When I first purchased my boxset the anamorphic widescreen Pillow Talk DVD was full of mistakes. It was misframed and things that shouldn't have been cut out of scenes were including in one scene half of Tony Randall's face was missing so Universal had the DVD's redone and offered replacements and I got one of the fixed DVD's and it is a lot better! I just wish they would offer the same repacement deal for their TV show DVD sets that have defectve discs! As for this collection my only minor compaint is that they didn't provide you with individual cases for each movie like alot of other movie collection boxsets have done!

    50's at its Best!

Doris Day is nothing but sunshine! Teaming with Rock Hudson and Tony Randall makes for some good romantic comedy. All 3 of these movies are great. Tony Randall is hilarious and Hudson shows a humorous side I never thought he could pull off. But I love Doris Day! She has so much class! (The clothing industry should really take a close look at Doris Day and how she wears her outfits. They should take note on how to bring back the fashions of the 50's. She makes an outfit scream with class!) Doris Day is a phenominal actress. I don't know many who are as versatile as she, from comedy to drama to suspense, she does it all so well. I love getting lost in the nostalgia of the 50's and Doris makes me feel 'happy and full of sunshine'while watching her movies!
