I watched rollerball for the first time in the theater when it was first released I was playing football in highschool at the time and I returned to the field with such a bizerker mentality I took my team all the way to the state quaterfinals from the underestemated position of nose guard - James Caan plays the hero in this movie and brings a new level to understatment the movie also provides an almost perfect example of art reflection of real life with games shows like american gladiator, survivor, WWF, everywhere you turn these days - with its 198 release on DVD it has held up quite well and showed the empty side of fame we are just now starting to grasp this is an excelent choice for anyone who injoys the mediam of film as well as music Bachs fug in G minor provides a dramactic musical backdrop for this futuristic masterpeace!

The is one of the all time classic Sci-Fi movies. A strong cast and a great plot with some of the most memorable rollerskating violence ever captured on film. This is a must have for any dvd collection.
