Barnes & Noble - Donald LiebensonYears before Harry Potter, there was Sabrina, a misfit teen whose hopes of being normal go out the window when she is informed -- on her 16th birthday -- that she is actually a witch with supernatural powers. Based on the character introduced in the Archie comics, this supernatural series was a staple of ABC’s family-friendly TGIF programming block, and it still casts a goofy spell. Former Nickelodeon tween queen Melissa Joan Hart stars as Sabrina. Like her iconic character in Clarissa Explains It All, Sabrina wants to fit in at her new school, avoid running afoul of the reigning mean girl, and find true love. Having magical powers may seem like an advantage, but she learns that there are hurtful side effects to turning her rival into a pineapple, having people tell nothing but the truth, and making her friends' wishes come true. Sabrina is a witches' brew of slapstick comedy, cheesy special effects, and some sly writing, delivered with a wink and a nod by Caroline Rhea as one of Sabrina's mentoring aunts. Future Freaks and Geeks creator Paul Feig also pops up as teacher Mr. Pool. This series conjures up some surprising guest stars, including Penn and Teller as members of the Witches' Council; Raquel Welch as an eccentric aunt; and the rock group Violent Femmes as themselves. Sabrina works as '90s nostalgia (Sally Jesse Raphael even pops up as a guest), but it wouldn't be surprising to see Hart's Everyteen appeal bewitch a new generation on DVD.

I remember when this show use to be on TGIF. I use to watch it every friday night. My all time favorite characer was salem the cat.
I love this show!! It is the best! If you haven't seen this, you should.
I just watched the last episode today. Its so cute lol
Sabrina The Teenage Witch has enchanted me for years. It mixes the perfect blend of humor, family, fun, and magic, which creates a very entertaining show that enchants you the very first time you watch it. Melissa Joan Hart is excellent, combining the fun of teenage years with a little magic. I strongly recommend this, as it is sure to please!
I used to watch this when I was younger and is one of my favorites. Its about the title character finding out she's a witch and goes through the years learning new things about the witchcraft from her two aunts and the talking black cat himself Salem. She first must go through what all "normal" girls go through during high school and beyond.
When you start watching this show you cant stop. With new twists and turns each episode you cant help but laugh you heart out. Well written and well casted, anyone can watch it!
My children got hooked on reruns of Sabrina the Teenage Witch on ABC Family. We were embarking on a long car trip and I saw this set on the sale rack. There were four discs with many episodes. It kept them very happy and occupied. It is good age appropriate fun for my preteens. For those unfamiliar with the story, there is a lot of supernatural material and witchcraft but it is not scary.
