Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Tony Nigro
Expect nothing but Sailor joy from this one-hour movie based on the popular anime series. The cute and cosmic Sailor soldiers find themselves at the mercy of dastardly Queen Valdiana. Inspired by the Pied Piper, Valdiana sends a flute-playing fairy to place the children of the world under a sleep spell -- all to steal their dream energy for her Magical Dream Vortex. In the center of the adventure is Chibi-Usa, Sailor Moon's unborn daughter sent back from the future. This film doesn't add much to Sailor Moon lore, yet its dazzling artwork and an appearance by the rarely seen Sailor Uranus make Sailor Moon Super S: Black Dream Hole a worthwhile chapter sure to please fans and intrigue newcomers.

    Its ok

This movie was better than Sailor Moon S, because the plot got deeper. As I've said before, its what I expect in a Japanese show because these cartoons have a reputation for bring more close to real life, in terms of relationships even if the fantasy world is not. When you see all these children sleeping in crystal chambers, your immediatly reminded of ''The Matrix'' and Serena's little dream encounter with Darien really is startling. She knows its a dream, because he would never declare her the only one he loves: Darien has a heart big enough for alot of people, even their pink haired funny little (future) daughter. (sorry to be a spoiler) So the film captures the concept of a hard but worthwhile reality having truimph over a blissful fantasy thats really a selfish illusion. But just because the scout powers are more advanced than ''Sailor Moon R'' I dont think this plot was a stirring as ''R''-which was able to capture a great deal of emotion and is my favorite out of all these three movies

    FANTASTIC!

Sailor Moon Super S was in my opinion the best sailormoon movie ever made! Maybe Im just a sucker for a good moral, but when ever I watch Serena in the scene where she's having her dream sequence with Darien, its just perfect! The song Nothing at All was playing n his stereo in the background. This is my favorite scene espeacially when she beats her selfish fantasy for reality. It also has some humor with Rini and Serena fighting in there too. Every scout comes except Saturn

    NOT IN ENGLISH !!!

My daughter put this in the vcr. She was so very happy she finally got this tape. When we realized it was in another language(probably Japanese)!!! You have to read the words on the bottom of the screen!!! I never realized that when it said UHS subtitled, under the description, what that meant. I think it's terrible they could not word the description a little better. I'm so upset over this not to mention how upset she is. Now what do I do with a useless, expensive tape???

Sailor moon super s: black dream hole had me wondering how was it going to be. As the other two movies ''Sailor moon R: promise of the rose'' and ''Sailor moon s: hearts in ice'' were the best i've ever seen even when im a sailor moon fan.

    ''It Rocks!!!!!''

It was great because it had every scout, except Sailor Saturn. Rini was cute too when she fights with Serena. The first few parts of the movie included Lita, which is my favorite scout next to to Sailor Moon.

    Worth the Wait!

I thought this movie was excellent! The storyline was wonderful and captivating! I recommend this cinematic adventure to any of the truly faithful Sailor Moon fans out there. It was well worth the wait to view this movie. The Black Dream Hole was beautiflly colored, along with beautiful music! You become captivated on the Sailor Moon series all over again!

    SM rulez

I've seen every tv show and movie, and I really want to see this one. I have all the movies, a pin, cards, bank. I'm also a DBZ and Tenchi Muyo/universe fan. All three rule! I like Sailor Saturn. She's totally nice. But Serena is still my favorite from day one. Darien is cute, and Uranus is too quiet. It didn't seem right that she had a P.H.C. But I like her.
