    Totally Enjoyable!

I loved this show when it was first on TV. Seeing it now, years later, it's still a wonderful uplifting series. Mrs. King (Kate Jackson) is a suburban divorced housewife who stumbles into assisting a US agent, Scarecrow, and ends up saving the day. Scarecrow (Lee Stetson played by Bruce Boxleitner) sees Mrs. King as a rank amateur and doesn't want to work with her, but his boss keeps finding her unique abilities handy for various jobs and she keeps saving the day through her common sense ways. The characters are all wonderful - Francine, Scarecrow's co-worker and fellow spy, is a hoity-toity know-it-all who looks down on Mrs. King but Mrs. King always seems to get the better of her. Mrs. King's mother is quite a character but very likable. The slow development of a relationship between Mrs. King and Scarecrow is thoroughly enjoyable. The cold war era plots may be dated but that won't stop you from enjoying this series. I hope they come out with the rest of the seasons soon.

    Finally

I was so happy that this was finally released. I enjoyed this series when it was on and I enjoyed watching it on DVD just as much. It is an uncomplicated and entertaining show with just enough humor. The characters were so likable and make you wonder what they will do next. It is spy meets the suburbs. It doesn't have the complexity of some of the action shows that are being made now or the big explosions, but I think that is why I like it so much - simplicity. I am not sure if people who did not watch it when was originally on would like it nearly as much as I do, but I watched it with my six year old without worrying about what he would see or hear.

    I Also Recommend:

The Greatest Spy Show of the 80's

My sister and I have waited a long time for this exceptional series to come out on DVD. The wait is finally over and we could not be happier. "Scarecrow and Mrs. King," staring the talented Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson as Lee and Amanda, is one of the greatest spy shows of the 80's. Every episode is exciting and humorous. As we watch each episode, it's like no time has passed; the storylines, the humor, the excitement are still new and fresh like we are watching them live for the first time. I highly recommend this selection to anyone who loves quality, family-friendly TV. It will be worth the wait for the other seasons to be released. Enjoy!

    At Last!

Hooray for Lee, Amanda, Billy, Francine, Jamie and Philip, and Amanda's mother! This is one of my all-time favorite tv shows of the 80's. Back then we had Hart to Hart, Remington Steele, Moonlighting and Scarecrow almost simultaneously, and all but this one have been available on dvd for a while.

If you want details on the story, it's all on IMDB. Just know that this is a fun spy series with lots of "will they or won't they?" romantic suspense. Season 1 is consistently good from beginning to end, and you'll be wanting Season 2 immediately after finishing the last disc. So buy it now, and maybe it'll hurry up the next installment.

A Must Buy!!!! This is an amazing show. If you loved Remington Steele you will love Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

This is one show that I watched religiously when it was on. I couldn't get enough of it. I even video taped the episodes on VHS. You will not only fall in love with Scarecrow and Mrs. King, but you will fall in love with Bruce Boxleitner and Kate Jackson, they are fantastic. The chemistry between the two of them on this show can't be beat. I guarantee this is a must see to all of you 80s generation. You won't regret getting this series.

I bought this series on an impulse, and halfway through the firs

I bought this series on an impulse, and halfway through the first disc, I found myself completely smitten with it. It's hard to describe the charm and freshness of "Scarecrow and Mrs. King"; the relationship between dashing professional agent Lee (Bruce Boxleitner) and warm-hearted amateur Amanda (Kate Jackson) is just wonderfully appealing. They are two people with seemingly little in common, yet they have a "click" experience when they first meet on a train platform, and over the course of Season One, they form a partnership and friendship amid their adventures that keeps growing stronger despite Lee's resistance to working with a civilian. The chemistry between these two is glorious. Mel Stewart's Billy Melrose, a humane and understanding boss to Lee and Amanda, and Beverly Garland's Dotty West, Amanda's energetic and curious mother, are strong supporting characters, along with Martha Smith's snippy and capable agent Francine Desmond. Every episode has a subtle tug of romance between Lee and Amanda, and just thinking about them together makes me smile. Take my word for it--this show is a delight!

    Best Spy Romance Ever

I remember watching this show on tv and miss it so much! When I discovered it was out on DVD, I quickly ordered it. It is beyond unique the relationship between Lee & Amanda. It has a mix of James Bond spying with a twist of Agatha Christie mystery and a dash of breathtaking romance that blossoms into one amazing story in season 4. The best part is that they always had these wonderful humorous lines that made you want to see what was next for Lee & Amanda. I can't wait for season 3&4 to come out on DVD! The pilot episode was one of my favorites it placed two unlikely people into a partnership that turned into more than friendship. They are definitely the cutest couple. I love watching these episodes. I love the suspense, mystery, and romance between Lee & Amanda. Definitely worth having in your DVD collection!

    YAY!

I've only watched Scarecrow & Mrs. King when they played re-runs on tv (I'm too young for the originals) but I would literally rush home after school to watch it or make sure I had a tape to record it. I'm so happy they are coming out with these on DVD! I've been waiting.
