Fans of the character Scooby-Doo will know full well that few animated franchises have enjoyed as many different incarnations - from Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! in 1969 through A Pup Named Scooby-Doo in 1988 - and beyond. The eleventh version of the series, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated, began airing on cable's Cartoon Network in July 2010; it brought back the entire gang of Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma, but this time utilized a unique serial format that continued an ongoing adventure from one episode to the next, in lieu of starting fresh with each new half hour installment. The various plot elements were also darker and less lighthearted than previous Scooby-Doo adventures. This box set offers the second half of Season One, with fourteen installments, including The Dragon's Secret, The Menace of Man, The Siren's Song and Where Walks Aphrodite.

    Very entertaining

Even as an adult, I am a huge Scooby-Doo! fan. Watching Scooby, Shaggy and the rest of the gang is always entertaining. I felt like a kid again, except I found it a lot easier to figure out who the culprit was. I have to admit that Scooby is still one of my favorite characters and I'm so glad that he and the gang lived up to my expectations once again! I mean, you can't get any better than a doggie detective.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated Season 1 Part 2 for review purposes. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
