Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Tony Nigro
With his Nightmare on Elm Street films, horror director-producer Wes Craven defined the state of the slasher-film art for a generation. In his Scream series, Craven managed to simultaneously salute and subvert his beloved exploitation genre -- redefining the art for a new generation of young film fans. This four-DVD set compiles Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3, and includes a bonus disc featuring a documentary, games, trivia, and web links, among other extras. The films, of course, track the charmed lives of Sidney Prescott Neve Campbell, Gale Weathers Courteney Cox, and Dewey Riley David Arquette from their original encounters with Scream's ghost-faced killer through the various revenge and copycat killers inspired by the trilogy-within-a-trilogy, Stab. No opportunity for wit or self-reference is lost in the first two tongue-in-cheek scripts by Kevin Williamson I Know What You Did Last Summer or in the final script by Reindeer Games writer Ehren Kruger. The result is that Scream achieves something rare among trilogies: It remains fresh from start to finish.

Best horror movie ever, with extra scariness with the box set.

I love all the Scream movies. These three movies keep you on the edge of your chair, while still making you laugh nervously. And the extra DVD with extra cool Scream things is brilliant.

    Scream Trilogy

Very scary, intense story line that leaves you on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the killer is and trying to keep from shutting your eyes! I'd have to say that the first was the goriest and scariest, definately not for the faint of heart! The story line is very well written and the characters and their relationships excellently played.
