The 22 episodes of the 1992-93 season collectively represent the indisputable creative high point of this much-beloved, innovative sitcom. This is the year that Jerry Jerry Seinfeld and George Jason Alexander develop their abortive pilot for NBC, and their efforts to write and produce the show provide a subplot that lasts the entire season. Additionally, Season 4 features an unparalleled concentration of classic episodes, most of them more readily remembered for the one-liners or catchphrases they contain: "The Implant" "They're real, and they're spectacular", "The Outing" "...not that there's anything wrong with that", and above all, "The Contest" "I am master of my domain". Moreover, this is the assemblage that introduces us to the Bubble Boy, Marla the Virgin, Crazy Joe Davola, and George's fiancée Susan. The year comes to a hilarious close with "The Pilot" originally an hour-long show split into two parts for syndication, which features cameos by many of the season's guest stars and ties up all the loose ends. Writer Larry David and director Tom Cherones really outdid themselves with this chunk of episodes; while Seinfeld had many, many memorable stanzas to come, no subsequent season achieved the level of consistent quality established with the '92-'93 cluster of shows.

    Masters of their domain

    "Seinfeld" may be the best contemporary sitcom so far, though - at times - I might give that title to "Everybody Loves Raymond." Regardless, it's bold, gutsy and uninhibited with a top-notch cast and innovative writers. There's simply been nothing else on TV remotely like it or likely to ever be again.

    Seinfeld - Season 4

    Season Four is an awesome season of Seinfeld. It features some of the classic episodes such as the "Bubble Boy" episode. A must have for true Seinfeld fans!

    Best Season of the Best Show Ever

    Nothing compares with the 4th season of Seinfeld. This is the season the show peaked. If you plan to buy only one Seinfeld DVD set, this is the one to have.

    Another Great Season

    Seinfeld is something that I always look forward too at the end of the day to make me laugh, and it always does. The show is so funny because the show talks about things that happen in daily life in a funny way!

    Seinfeld - Season 4

    I became hooked on Seinfeld because so much of what happened in my own life, particuarly in college seemed to me to resemble a Seinfeld Episode. It even went so far as to my friends and I start deciding who was what character. We had a friend who looked EXACTLY like George, another resembled Kramer. Season four continues to bring back some of tv's funniest Seinfeld moments. It's Seinfeld, if you're a fan, you have to have it.
