Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
Bert and Ernie, Sesame Street's consummate odd couple, star in this silly celebration of words. But what does a pie-throwing machine have to do with reading? Preschoolers and beginning readers can expect something "sticky," "slippery," and "fun" here -- just three of the words that take center stage in this (literal) play on words from Bert and Ernie, with assists from such Sesame Street stalwarts as Elmo, the Cookie Monster, Grover, and Prairie Dawn. A captivating mix of film, live-action, animated, and musical sequences, Bert & Ernie's Word Play promotes the "Need to Read." Highlights include some tap-dancing penguins, singing bookworms, and a word recognition skit starring Kermit the Frog.

Jim Henson's Best Reading Video Ever!

''Bert & Ernie's Word Play'' is a learning adventure with lots of words like:GO, FUN, COOKIE, SLIPPERY, STICKY, FEATHERS, AMIGO, GOAT, JAM, BALLS and Many More. You should see Bert & Ernie and their friends from Sesame Street do a word play show like Cookie Monster sings ''It Takes One Little Letter,'' Rosita and Zoe singing ''Sticky Tape.'' Believe me, They really got stuck in sticky tape. It'll make you laugh. The grand finale is...Oh, Wait, I can't tell you, You'll have to see it for yourself. That's why ''Bert & Ernie's Word Play'' is a reading words adventure video.
