Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
Are you ready to get moving? Join Elmo and the Elmocizers at Camp Elmo for a vigorous musical workout! Designed to get preschoolers off the couch and on their feet, this energetic bunch bend, stretch, and jump. But as one wheelchair-bound participant cheerfully demonstrates, exercise is for everybody. Guest star Cyndi Lauper adds a musical twist, singing with the Twister Sisters. The motivational message is clear: Exercise is fun, it makes you feel good, "and you can do it, too!"

    Elmocize Big Disappointment

It's not often that I'm extremely sorry I purchased a children's video/DVD, but this one is it! If I could have my money back today and never be subjected to it again, I would be quite happy! I though this would be a ''show me'' video and it's not! The only remotely structured ''exercise'' portion of the video was the ''Workout in a Chair'' - this is also the only part of the video which kept my attention, as well as my two year old's attention. It is the only portion of the video where she could actually follow along and do what the ''instructor'' was showing us to do. Elmocize isn't an ''exercise'' video at all - it's just another typical helter-skelter hodge-podge of Sesame Street clips of kids here and there doing various wiggles and turns and dancing around. Other than the sitting down demonstration of arm exercises, there is NOTHING in this video to teach young people how to do ''exercises.'' A major disappointment, indeed.
