Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
Elmo answers the call of The Great Outdoors in three 15-minute interactive "Elmo's World" segments originally broadcast on Sesame Street. Puppetry, live-action footage, animation, and inspired clowning by the brothers Noodle (Michael Jeter and Bill Irwin) combine to introduce viewers to wild animals, fish, and the weather. Elmo is, as ever, his cheerful and enthusiastic self, acting as the viewer's surrogate by asking basic questions, encouraging imaginative play (onscreen children pretend to be a variety of their favorite animals), and nurturing counting skills. Elmo fans will be wild about this particularly repeatable collection.
