Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Donald Liebenson
You can always count on Sesame Street to make learning fun. This new-to-DVD collection of recycled segments from the venerable educational series really adds up with clever animation, comical skits, and stylistically diverse songs that sing the praises of numbers 1 through 10 (with an occasional up-to-20 foray). Of course, the Count figures prominently, especially in two Kafkaesque skits. In one, he is an elevator operator who won't let passenger Kermit out because he likes to count the floors. In another, he hires Ernie to answer his phone, a job made difficult because -- you guessed it -- the Count likes to count the telephone rings. Connecting all the segments together is a talk show dedicated to numbers, hosted with characteristic panache by Big Bird. For kids just getting into the numbers swing, it’s a welcome half hour of fun.

    Really not so great

We thought this was going to be segments of the count and his counting songs as my son totally loves the count and his segments. However, this is more about big bird doing a tv show than counting songs starring the count. he only has about four segments in the whole DVD. It is our least favorite DVD.
