First-time feature filmmaker Tony Stone follows the treacherous journey of two Vikings who must fend for themselves in the New World after their party is attacked and they are forced to flee into unfamiliar territory. The year is 1007 A.D., and an expedition of Vikings has arrived on the shores of North America in search of a fabled Vinland. Shortly after two scouts set foot on land to explore the uncharted interior, the ships are attacked by "Skralings" and forced to retreat to safety. Left for dead by their frightened fellow countrymen, the two scouts make their way north in hopes of reuniting with their party. But life in the New World isn't like life back in the Old World, and as the two wandering Norsemen are plagued by memories of a distant past one sets out on a spiritual quest as the other embraces his primal instincts. While at first it appears as if the adventurers are alone in the New World, the discovery of Native Americans and Irish Monks finds what was initially a modest expedition of necessity gradually taking on epic undertones.
