The hit cable series Sex and the City catwalks its way onto the big screen in this feature-film continuation that fans all over have been clamoring for. Sarah Jessica Parker returns once again as Carrie Bradshaw, the style-maven journalist whose romantic exploits were the key focus of the show. Also reprising their roles are Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, with the series' executive producer Michael Patrick King taking on writing and directing duties. Several years have passed since viewers last saw Carrie and company, though she's still involved with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and completely consumed by her obsession for name-brand accessories. Meanwhile, Miranda is adjusting to married life and motherhood, Charlotte is still clinging to her dreams, and Samantha and handsome, steely eyed TV star Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) are now living together out in L.A. Of course, when the girls all come together, it's just like old times. Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson co-stars as Carrie's assistant.

FABULOUS STYLISH AND ABOVE ALL SEXY! ALL 4 GIRLS LOOK AMAZING SPECIALLY SAMANTHA. The film is a must see for hardcore fans of the series and for newcomers o the series. Comedy of the year!
You can watch this movie even if you haven't seen the episodes. It was very good and easy to follow. Love it!
I have watched sex and the city since it began! i love it! i mean i cant imagine any woman that cant relate to at least one of the girls! the movie was fabulous fabulous fabulous!!!!!
This movie was just what us Sex and the City lovers wanted. It was amazing.
This movie moved me to tears!!! It is a must-see, and when the DVD comes out, I am getting at least 2 copies!!!
I'm an adoring fan and so in love with the Sex and the City series and I appreciate the great relationship insight it gives.. however, this movie fell short in a few places. The lack of narration, throughout the entire movie, from Carrie Bradshaw was a turn off. Situations were just happening and not being presented with any backgrouund information which led to many head stratchers. The movie did tie up all the loose ends the TV series left but its writing was careless. But on a lighter note, the fashion clothing was delicious and enjoyable. This movie is still a must-see for all fans since the movie answers any and all of the questions we might've had !
i really enjouyed this movie. i cried and laught throughout the whole movie. I just whish they could keep doing the series,, i miss it so much =( this is definatelly a good buy
Sex and the City: The Movie-extended cut is burning even brighter on dvd with exclusive content! The Extended-Cut features 12 extra minutes of the film not shown in theaters. Which for 'Sex'-craved fans this means that they will enjoy this dvd. The dvd features include: *A conversation with Sarah Jessica Parker and 'director' Michael Patrick King *The fabulous fashion of Sex and the City *Making the music video of 'sex' with Fergie in the studio *Additional Scenes and more...! Sex and the City is now available on DVD. This is a must-have of the year!
This is one of the best movies in a long time.. from the fashion to the love...to the comedy...this will be a cult classic...watch out Breakfast at Tiffany's...
I went to see this movie over the summer and was not impressed. Yes, it did tie up the loose ends from the last episode, but the storyline was typical and really uninteresting. I was ready to leave about midway through the movie. I would recommend skipping the movie and go watch the T.V. episodes if want to see the smart writing style that made SATC such a popular show.
I've seen this movie 3 times, not intentionally, it just happened that friends needed someone to go with them. It was as much fun to watch the third time as the first, and knowing what would happen gave me the opportunity to pay more attention to the clothes, shoes and room settings. The Girls are just so much more so on the big screen. And there are several solid story lines going on. And the sound track is good. Overall, definitely worth a repeat see and I'll probably be giving the movie as Christmas gifts!
I have been watching Sex and the City for several years now and this movie tied everything up. It was good I will be waching it again real soon.
This movie was a great way to give continuation to each of the character's lives from the HBO series. I saw this movie before watching most of the original series and thought it was very easy to follow for anyone who has never watched an episode of the show.
If you watched the show or not this is still a must see. After waiting for more than 4 years for the movie to be released I have to say that it was worth the wait. The characters were funnier than ever and the story line lived up to the tevelvison series.
I can't get enough of the movie and I am a huge fan of the show and Sarah Jessica Parker. I think any girl young or "experienced" will enjoy this flick : )
I looove the movie!!! I wasn't expecting a great one, but this was just truly wonderful!!! I watched it twice on the big screen, and bought the DVD as soon as it came out! I recommend this to all women!!! And even the guys too (you could learn a few things about us girls, y'know?!).
As an avid fan of the series, I absolutely loved this movie. It was full of twists and turns. One moment you were crying, the next laughing. The uncut DVD has scenes that were not shown in the theatres and I must say I was wonderfully delighted...This is a Must for a Sex and the City fan!
I had been a long time hater of Sex & The City until my friend forced me to watch a few episodes. It grows on you. If you love the series, you'll love the movie. If you've seen a few episodes and enjoy it to an extent, then you'll like the movie. It's not exactly shakespeare, but it's funny, and has some insights (though incredibly dramatized insights) into human nature with regards to dating. I'd reccommend it to die hard fans, and the people who watch the series when it's convienent.
