Interesting and challenging in it's own way

If you have read the Sharpe books don't expect this to be a retelling of one of the books. I found it an enjoyable movie but it is set far beyond the time Sharpe served in India and pulls story lines from the actual books about that period in Sharpe's life, melding them into a tale of an older Sharpe who has returned to India. If you haven't read the Sharpe stories of the period when he was serving in the ranks of the British army in India you will still enjoy this movie and wont be bothered by the fact that it is an amalgam of stories from three different books.
