In the process, Richard, Patrick and Marie-Angelique run into a ragged, motley group of soldiers led by a man named Beauclaire (Luke Ward-Wilkinson) , and Sharpe must help deliver its men from the clutches of the evil bandit Chitu (Ulhad Tayas) to the safe arms of the next army garrison. What Sharpe doesn't realize is that he's on the verge of discovering one of the largest opium-trafficking operations in India.

    History and the Sharp series

If you enjoy the Sharps Riflss series this movie was excellant. It is based on the Sharpes Tiger trillogy, but the caracters are advaced about 20 years to men who are tired of fighting and want some peace and rest. The visuals are terrific, and the story is good.

Perilous in Film; Not Perilous to Watch!

'Sharpe's Peril' is the culmination of the great Sharpe series. Richard Sharpe is masterful in what he does, in his representation of all that is honorable; Sean Bean is just as masterful in the role. 'Sharpe's Challenge,' and, then, 'Peril' take the series beyond the Napoleonic Wars and, as always, contain some of the best stories and acting of any out there.
