    Sharpe's Rifles

These are the greatest movies you are likely to see for a long time. They inspire and thrill. Sean Bean is awesome! Here is the order to watch them in: Rifles, Eagle, Company, Enemy, Honour, Gold, Battle, Sword, Regiment, Siege, Mission, Revenge, Justice, and Waterloo.

    Chosen Videos

After reading all the Sharpe books, I decided that it was time to check out the movies, and this past winter, bought the series on DVD. Wow! - well, okay, you'll have to overlook the skimping on production values. Concentrate instead on story, and Sean Bean's bloody-minded, brilliant turn as Richard Sharpe, and John Tam's singing, and Daragh O'Malley who was obviously born to play Harper, and - I could go on in this vein for some time, but it would probably be simpler if you just buy the videos and watch them. You won't regret it.

    Sharpe's Rifles

This is the beginning of an adventure you won't want to miss. These films are wonderful family entertainment. Sean Bean creates a character who never lets you down. The Riflemen are real heroes. The books are great too - by Bernard Cornwell. My husband and I have read all the books and the movies really bring them to life.

    History alive

The movies are great and follows the books as well as an 100 minute television movie can. I wish the budget had been a little larger to bring the larger presence of the French and British armies to the screen. Very good movies, I own them all.
