The third of many female vampire films from French director Jean Rollin (Lips of Blood, Fascination), Requiem for a Vampire) is given a clean and crisp transfer to DVD. The widescreen (aspect ratio of 1.66:1) disc offers night scenes with very little digital breakup and with its frequent use of gels (particularly red), the film sports a very colorful tableau. The disc is in its original French (Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono mix) with optional English subtitles. There is an original theatrical trailer in both English and French; both versions run close to four minutes in length. The only other disc feature is the "Photo Gallery," which consists of two behind-the-scenes images, 32 stills, and nine publicity shots. All in all, this is a solid presentation from Image Entertainment and Redemption USA.
